President, COL John Nye

●  Charter member of the Association, serving as President for over 10 years

●  Combat Infantry Badge-Second Award (star), Master Parachutist, Pathfinder, and Special Forces

●  Served in the US Army with assignments to Special Forces (Airborne), Special Operations (Airborne), 509th Parachute Infantry Battalion (Separate), and the 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment (82nd Airborne Division) from the Viet Nam era through the Cold War to the current Global War on Terror era

●  Past Chairman and Secretary of the Phoenix Valley of the Sun Chapter, 82nd Airborne Division Association; Past Post Commander and Adjutant, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7789; Post Commander Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7399 (current); Judge Advocate, Chapter 7 Disabled American Veterans (current)

Secretary, James (Doc) Dougherty

●  Charter member who has served as Association Secretary for 11 years

●  Vietnam Era Veteran, who served in Arctic Airborne Operations, Rigger Detachment, Alaskan Command

●  Senior parachutist, HALO, rigger qualified

●  Charter member and Secretary of 173rd Airborne Brigade Chapter XXV for over 10 years

●  All-American member of 82nd Airborne Division Assoc., Valley of the Sun Chapter, since 1968 and served as Secretary for 7 years

●  Served as Secretary for the Association of the US Army, Arizona Territorial Chapter, for 4 years
